Sukumar Memorial The first death anniversary of cartoonist Sukumar, who was a senior member of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was commemorated through a joint event organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the SH School of Communication, the media school of Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Ernakulam, on September 30 at 4:00 PM. The event was held at the SH College Hall, Thevara. Renowned humor writer Krishna Poojappura delivered the main memorial address. *Sukumar*, a commemorative book published by the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was released by noted cartoonist Ravishankar, who presented the first copy to Sukumar Sir’s daughter, Sumangala. At the meeting chaired by Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath, SH College Media Department Director Babu Joseph, the book’s General Editor Madhu Omalloor, Cartoon Academy Secretary A. Hyderabad Space Cartoon Exhibition The Space Cartoon Exhibition, organized jointly by the Hyderabad Forum for Political Cartoonists, the Telangana Department of Culture, and the Confederation of Telugu Region Malayali Associations in collaboration with the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was held from September 24. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO and a distinguished member of the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Telangana Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Jupally Krishna Rao attended as the chief guest. Representing the Academy, Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath, Treasurer Adv. P. U. Kerala Varma's Centenary The centenary celebrations of Kerala Varma, a giant in the Indian cartooning field, commenced on September 22, 2024, at Udayamperoor S.N.D.P. Higher Secondary School. The event was jointly organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the AKG Memorial Rural Library. Former Chairman of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, Adv. M. M. Monayi, delivered the Kerala Varma memorial lecture. The centenary celebration of cartoonist Kerala Varma will continue for one year. At the function, presided over by T. Raghuvaran, patron of the AKG Memorial Rural Library, artist Binuraj Kalapeetham delivered the welcome address and library secretary Rajesh expressed the vote of thanks. Kalamassery Agricultural Festival The Kerala Cartoon Academy participated in the Agricultural Festival held in Kalamassery with live caricature drawing sessions. The festival was held from September 7 to 12. Kerala Cartoon Academy Joint Secretary Sajeev Shooranad was responsible for coordination. Participants included Rajan M. R., Sunil Mutthedath, Vinu S. Nair, Madhoos, Girish Pillai, Adv. P. U. Noushad, Ratheesh Ravi, and Anoop Radhakrishnan. കളമശ്ശേരി  കാര്‍ഷികോത്സവം കളമശ്ശേരിയില്‍ നടന്ന കാര്‍ഷികോത്സവത്തില്‍ കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി തത്സമയ കാരിക്കേച്ചര്‍ രചനയുമായി പങ്കാളിയായി. സെപ്തംബര്‍ 7 മുതല്‍ 12 വരെയാണ് കാര്‍ഷികോത്സവം നടന്നത്. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ജോയിന്‍റ് സെക്രട്ടറി സജീവ് ശൂരനാടിനായിരുന്നു ഏകോപന ചുമതല. രാജന്‍ എം ആര്‍, സുനില്‍ മുത്തേടത്ത്, വിനു എസ് നായര്‍, മധൂസ്, ഗിരീഷ് പിള്ള, അഡ്വ. പി. യു നൗഷാദ്, രതീഷ് രവി, അനൂപ് രാധാക്യഷ്ണന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

  This Line for Wayanad As part of the Athaghosham celebrations, a live caricature drawing event titled “This Line for Wayanad” was conducted in Tripunithura on September 6. A cheque for ₹14,000, collected through the live caricature drawing program “This Line for Wayanad” held at the Tripunithura Koothambalam on September 6 for the benefit of the victims in Wayanad, was handed over by Kerala Cartoon Academy Vice Chairman Sajeev Balakrishnan to Tripunithura Municipal Chairperson Rama Santhosh for contribution to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. The proceeds from the Caricature Challenge were donated to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. An amount of ₹2,02,000 raised through the Caricature Challenge organized as part of Karittoon by the Kerala Cartoon Academy was donated to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund on September 1, 2024. The Caricature Challenge was organized on August 22 and 23 in the central courtyard of the Kerala High Court as a support initiative for Wayanad by the Academy for Advanced Legal Studies and Training (ALT) and the Kerala Cartoon Academy. ALT President and Additional Advocate General Ashok M. Cherian, along with Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath, handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister.
