Star Cartoonist Competition The Kerala Cartoon Academy and Toonz Animation jointly decided to present the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Star Cartoonist Award. For this purpose, a state-level cartoon competition was conducted, inviting participants aged between 15 and 25 through postal mail and email. The theme of the preliminary round of the Star Cartoonist Competition was **"Corruption in Public Life."** The age limit was 15 to 25 years. A total of 250 participants from different parts of the state took part in the competition. On January 25, 2016, at the Bharat Tourist Home Hall, the 25 participants selected from among them were given a short training session in cartoon drawing, followed by a live competition. Vision Kochi 2065 On January 11, 2016, the Kerala Cartoon Academy also participated in the "Vision Kochi 2065" program organized by the Ernakulam Press Club at the Edappally Marriott Hotel. An exhibition of cartoons drawn by Academy members on the theme "Vision Kochi 2065" was also held. The event was inaugurated by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. Minister K. Babu, Dr. Sebastian Paul, Nikesh Kumar, K. L. Mohana Varma, Major Ravi, Ravikumar, and Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad spoke at the function. Kerala Cartoon Academy Vice Chairman K. Traffic Awareness Cartoon Exhibition As part of Traffic Day on January 9, 2016, the Kerala Cartoon Academy, in association with the District Motor Vehicles Department and the Road Safety Department, organized a Traffic Awareness Cartoon Exhibition at St. Paul's College, Kalamassery. A live caricature drawing session attracted considerable attention. Minister Ibrahim Kunju, Professor K. V. Thomas MP, Transport Commissioner Tomin J.
