Kerala Cartoon Academy Events

The Kerala Cartoon Academy, in association with the Kerala High Court Association, organized an on-the-spot caricature program on November 20, 2009, as part of High Court Day. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, S. R. Bannurmath. Under the leadership of Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, many cartoonists, including Sajeev, Santhosh T. S., Dwijith, Anoop R., Karthika Kattanam, Badusha, and Anil Adoor, participated. Kerala High Court Justices Kurian Joseph, A. K. Basheer, C. T. Ravikumar, and Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, Additional Solicitor General T. P. M. A collection of cartoons featuring elephants as characters was organized under the leadership of the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Not only Indian cartoonists but also foreign cartoonists collaborated in this initiative. The Academy also started a blog showcasing the cartoons it received. The elephant cartoon blog was inaugurated on November 9, 2009, by the Academy's former Chairman, M. M. Monayi. Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, Secretary Sudhir Nath, and cartoonist Sajeev attended the function. As part of the book festival organized by Green Books in Thrissur, an on-the-spot caricature program led by Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad was held on November 7, 2009. Participants included Sajeev, Mohandas, Karthika Karranam, Santhosh, and Madhus Dinraj. Academy Secretary Sudheer Nath, Bay Watch Managing Director Narayanan Namboothiri, Green Books Managing Director Krishnadas, and others also took part in the program. തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ ഗ്രീന്‍ ബുക്സ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച പുസ്തകോത്സവത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി 2009 നവംബര്‍ 7ന് കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ പ്രസന്നന്‍ ആനിക്കാട് നേതൃത്ത്വം കൊടുത്ത ഓണ്‍ ദി സ്പോട്ട് കാരിക്കേച്ചര്‍ പരിപാടിയില്‍ സജ്ജീവ്, മോഹന്‍ദാസ്, കാര്‍ത്തിക കററാനം, സന്തോഷ്, മധൂസ് ദിന്‍രാജ് തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്‍നാഥ്, ബേ വാച്ച് എം. ഡി നാരായണന്‍ നമ്പൂതിരി, ഗ്രീന്‍ ബുക്സ് എം. ഡി കൃഷ്ണദാസ് തുടങ്ങിയവരും പരിപാടിയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.
