Kerala Cartoon Academy Events

The Kerala Cartoon Academy prepared and distributed photo identity cards to its members. The inauguration of the photo identity card distribution was conducted by Legislative Assembly Speaker K. Radhakrishnan on October 23, 2009. The first card was received by veteran cartoonist Sukumar from the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. More than thirty cartoonists participated in the function held at Gorky Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram. An exhibition of caricatures of Oscar Award winners Rasool Pookutty and A. R. Rahman was organized on October 23, 2009, at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, in collaboration with the Russian Cultural Centre. Rasool Pookutty attended the exhibition with his family. Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker K. Radhakrishnan, Cultural Secretary Dr. V. Venu, cartoonist Sukumar, P. V. Krishnan, M. K. Muneer, and others participated in the event.
