123 Manmohan Singh Cartoon Exhibition A cartoon exhibition was held in Kottayam at the Bank Employees Hall with the cooperation of the Kottayam District Committee of the Indian Peace and Solidarity organization (AIPSO), an organization of bank employees. The exhibition, held on March 27 and 28, 2009, was inaugurated by cartoonist Toms. Mangalam Managing Editor Sabu Varghese, Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, Oil Palm India Chairman V.B. Binu, Prabhakaran, Father Jose Punamadam, Abba Vazhoor, and others participated in the function. On March 25, 2009, the election cartoons blog launched by the Kerala Cartoon Academy was inaugurated in Delhi by Oscar Award winner Rasool Pookutty. Academy Secretary Sudhir Nath, Kerala Union of Working Journalists State Committee member and Coordinating Editor of Manorama Publications Pradeep Kumar, Manorama Weekly Editor K. A. Francis, and Deepika Delhi Editor George Kallivayalil attended the function. March 9, 2009 - The first program organized after the new governing committee of the Kerala Cartoon Academy assumed office was held in Pathanamthitta district. The exhibition of 123 cartoons of Manmohan Singh, conducted on March 9 at the Pathanamthitta YMCA Hall in collaboration with the YMCA, was a great success. Academy distinguished member Nathan inaugurated the exhibition. YMCA President K. I. **With the Lord of Laughter** On March 9, 2009, the Academy members, under the leadership of Chairman Prasannan, held a conversation with Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom, fondly known as the "Lord of Laughter." It was a unique program. The two events held in Pathanamthitta were led by Executive Committee members Biju Chandran and Father Jose Punamadam. ചിരിയുടെ തമ്പുരാനൊപ്പം 2009 മാര്‍ച്ച് 9ന് അക്കാദമി അംഗങ്ങള്‍ ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ പ്രസന്നന്‍റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ചിരിയുടെ തമ്പുരാനായ മാര്‍ത്തോമ വല്യ മെത്രോപോലീത്ത ഡോ. ഫിലിപ്പോസ് മാര്‍ക്രിസ് സോസവുമായി നടത്തിയ സംവാദം വേറിട്ട പരിപാടിയായിരുന്നു. പത്തനംതിട്ടയില്‍ നടന്ന രണ്ട്  പരിപാടികള്‍ക്കും നിര്‍വ്വാഹക സമിതി അംഗങ്ങളായ ബിജു ചന്ദ്രനും, ഫാദര്‍ ജോസ് പുനമഠവുമാണ് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കിയത്.

On March 1, 2009, at the Ernakulam Government Guest House, wax statues of cartoonist Shankar and Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, created as part of the Kerala Cartoon Academy's 25th anniversary memorial, were unveiled by Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy. The concluding session that followed was presided over by Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi. Newly elected Rajya Sabha MP P. Rajeev, Prof. K. V. Thomas MLA, K. Babu MLA, Bevwatch MD Narayanan, and others spoke at the event. During the ceremony, all the senior cartoonists who were distinguished members of the Cartoon Academy were honored. On the afternoon of March 1, 2009, the Kerala Cartoon Academy's annual general meeting was held. Secretary Sudheer Nath presented the report, and Treasurer Sajeev presented the accounts.
