 A Cup of Tea with Samuel On September 30, 2007, the program "A Cup of Tea with Samuel" was organized at the residence of cartoonist Samuel in Delhi, under the chairmanship of Advocate M. M. Monayi, Chairman of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, with the participation of cartoonists from North India. The Academy Chairman honored cartoonist Samuel by presenting him with a ceremonial shawl. It was a rare experience when Samuel shared his life story with around twenty-five cartoonists working in different languages who had gathered there. Cartoonists Kak, Unni, Prasad, Shyamakal, Rana, Chander, and Sudhirnath, Secretary of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, also spoke at the event. In 2007, cartoonist Thomas was given a reception in his hometown. On the evening of September 3, the Academy honored veteran cartoonist Thomas at Venkateswara Hall in Paravur. Accompanied by the beats of traditional chenda drums, he was ceremonially escorted to the stage. The meeting, chaired by Paravur MLA V. D. Satheesan, was inaugurated by renowned journalist T. V. R. Shenoy. Dr. Sebastian Paul (MP), Prof. K. V. Thomas (MLA), Paravur Municipal Chairman Adv. M. A. Ali, Federal Bank General Manager (Public Relations) Raju Hormis, Paravur Press Club President Premkumar, Reception Committee Convener Surendran, cartoonists Sukumar, Yesudasan, Serry, Academy Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi, Secretary Sudhir Nath, and Prasannan Aanikkad also addressed the gathering. Cartoonist Yesudasan draped Thomas with a ceremonial shawl.  Onam Celebration and General Meeting On Sunday, September 3, 2007, the members of the Kerala Cartoon Academy gathered at the Paravur Guest House under the chairmanship of Advocate M. M. Monayi. They discussed the academy's future programs as well as the programs that had already been conducted. Recalling the memories of Onam, the cartoonists sat together on traditional banana leaves and enjoyed an Onam feast with two varieties of payasam, making it a joyful gathering that celebrated friendship.
