Cultural Policy Document As representatives of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, Treasurer Adv. P. U. Noushad, Vice Chairman Anoop Radhakrishnan, and Executive Committee Member K. Unnikrishnan participated in the meeting convened by the Kochi Mayor on October 14 regarding the formulation of a cultural policy document for the city of Kochi. At the meeting, Vice Chairman Anoop Radhakrishnan suggested that the Cartoon Festival organized annually by the Academy should be made an official program of the Kochi Corporation and that spaces for laughter should be created throughout the city. K. Minister and Children Pay Tribute to Gandhi at Gandhi Smriti Through Drawings On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, when Gandhi memorial events resonate across the country, a tribute was paid to the Father of the Nation through drawings. At the Cartoon Conclave being held at Thevara S.H. College, Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian inaugurated the Gandhi Smriti Drawing event by sketching Gandhi. The minister said that despite the rapid spread of information technology and major advances in photography and animation technology, and despite the growth of comics, social media, trolls, and similar media, cartoons still have a strong influence on people's minds. Three-Day Cartoon Conclave – Doodle Days The three-day Cartoon Conclave – Doodle Days, jointly organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the SH School of Communication, the media school of Sacred Heart College, Thevara, was held at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, on September 30 and October 1 and 2. On September 30 at 10:00 a.m., Union Minister George Kurian inaugurated the conclave. Renowned cartoonist Ravishankar, Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Chairperson Murali Cheeroth, Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath, CMI Kochi Provincial Superior Father Benny Nalkara, Sacred Heart Institutions Manager Fr. Kollam Cartoon Workshop On October 2, 2024, the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the Kollam Tapasya Art and Literary Forum jointly conducted a cartoon workshop for high school students at Puthiya Kavu Central School in Mamoottilkadavu, Kollam. The one-day workshop was inaugurated by cartoonist M. S. Mohana Chandran. M. S. Mohana Chandran and Prathapan Pulimath led the camp. Chennai Live Caricature On October 2, 2024, Gandhi Jayanti celebrations were held at VR Mall, Chennai, jointly organized by Chitravati Centre for Creativity, Ology Tech School, and the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Representing the Kerala Cartoon Academy from Kerala, E.P. Peter, Sajeev Shuranad, Manoj Mathasheril, and Naushad Vellalassery participated. A children's drawing competition, cartoon competition, live caricature sessions, and an exhibition of artworks were organized.
