Kerala Cartoon Academy Events

The K. S. Pillai Memorial Ceremony was held on May 14, 2009, at the Kottayam Public Library Hall. At the meeting, chaired by Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, cartoonist Sukumar delivered the memorial lecture. He presented the K. S. Pillai Award to P. V. Krishnan. Kottayam MLA V. N. Vasavan, cartoonist Nathan, and Kerala Cartoon Academy Secretary Sudhirnath also spoke at the event. കെ. എസ്. പിള്ള അനുസ്മരണ ചടങ്ങ് 2009 മെയ് 14ന് കോട്ടയം പബ്ലിക് ലൈബ്രറി ഹാളില്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ പ്രസന്നന്‍ ആനിക്കാടിന്‍റെ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതയില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന യോഗത്തില്‍ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുകുമാര്‍ അനുസ്മരണ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. കെ. എസ്. പിള്ള പുരസ്കാരം അദ്ദേഹം പി. വി കൃഷ്ണന് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. കോട്ടയം എം. എല്‍. എ. വി. എന്‍. വാസവന്‍, കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് നാഥന്‍, കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്‍നാഥ് എന്നിവരും ചടങ്ങില്‍ സംസാരിച്ചു. 

The two-day Cartoon Study Camp organized at the state level for children in collaboration with the Kottayam Public Library was held on May 13 and 14, 2009. It was inaugurated by the children's favorite star, Ajay Kumar (Undapakru, now known as Guinness Pakru). C. G. Vasudevan Nair, Vice President of the Kottayam Public Library, Secretary T. Shashikumar, Surendran Varachal, and others attended the function. Cartoonist Nathan served as the camp director. The camp was attended by a large number of renowned cartoonists, including Toms, Sukumar, P. V. Krishnan, Seeri, Peter, Venu, Unnikrishnan, Raju Nair, Balu, Mohanachandran, John Kakkanad, Joshy George, Prasannan Anikkad, Sudhir Nath, Sajeev, Anuraj, Santhosh T. S., Suresh N., Khalilud, Dwijith Payyanur, Krishnakumar, Abba Vazhoor, Biju Chandran, Jayaraj Velloor, Dinraj, Karthika Kattanam, Madhus, Murali K.
