Kerala Cartoon Academy Events

The Kerala Cartoon Academy honored cartoonist Peter on April 17, 2010, in Chennai, the city where he had carried out his professional work. The Academy's honor was presented by the Minister for Culture, M. A. Baby. Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, Secretary Sudheer Nath, Nakkeeran Gopalan, Gokulam Gopalan, cartoonists Toms, Sukumar, Nathan, Medimix Anoop, K. A. Johny, and many other prominent personalities attended the function. During the ceremony, the K. S. Pillai Award was presented to cartoonist Peter. On April 17, 2010, the Kerala Cartoon Academy organized a cartoon camp at the Chennai Malayali Club as part of honoring cartoonist Peter. Cartoonist Toms inaugurated the camp. Along with the 25 cartoonists who participated in the camp, more than 100 children also took part. 2010 ഏപ്രില്‍ 17 ന് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് പീറ്ററെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി ചെന്നയ് മലയാളി ക്ലബില്‍ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ ക്യാമ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് റ്റോംസ് ക്യാമ്പ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. 25 കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത ക്യാമ്പില്‍ 100ല്‍പരം കുട്ടികളും പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു.

On April 16, 2010, the Kerala Cartoon Academy organized an exhibition of cartoonist Peter's cartoons at the Malayali Club in Chennai as part of honoring him. The exhibition was inaugurated by Tamil cartoonist and former editor of *Ananda Vikatan*, cartoonist Madan. Cartoonist Keshav, Kerala Cartoon Academy Secretary Sudheer Nath, Treasurer M.S. Mohanachandran, Praveen Gokulam, and other Tamil cartoonists attended the event. 2010 ഏപ്രില്‍ 16 ന് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് പീറ്ററെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണുകളുടെ പ്രദര്‍ശനം ചെന്നയില്‍ മലയാളി ക്ലബില്‍ വെച്ച് നടത്തി. പ്രദര്‍ശനം തമിഴ് കാട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റും ആനന്ദവികടന്‍ മുന്‍ പത്രാധിപരുമായ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് മദനന്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് കേശവ്, കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്‍നാഥ്, ട്രഷറര്‍ എം.എസ് മോഹനചന്ദ്രന്‍, പ്രവീണ്‍ ഗോകുലം, മറ്റ് തമിഴ് കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

On April 16, 2010, as part of the Kadathanad Fest, the Kerala Cartoon Academy organized an exhibition of senior cartoonists' works in Thalassery under the title *Masters' Strokes*. The exhibition, *Masters' Strokes*, also presented the history of cartooning in Kerala. It featured the first Malayalam cartoon, the cover of the first humor magazine, and cartoons by K. S. Pillai, Shankar, Mantri, Shivaram, Samuel, Kutty, Toms, Yesudasan, Sukumar, P. V. Krishnan, Seeri, Keralavarma, Nathan, and others. The exhibition was inaugurated by a girl named Jisha, who drew a caricature of M. Mukundan, the storyteller of Mahe. M. Mukundan, K. P. Mohanan MLA, Cartoon Academy Secretary Sudheer Nath, Jayaraj Velloor, Surendran Varachal, and others spoke at the function. 2010 ഏപ്രില്‍ 16 ന് കടത്തനാട്ട് ഫെസ്റ്റിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി മാസ്റ്റേഴ്സ് സ്ട്രാക്ക്സ് എന്ന പേരില്‍ മുതിര്‍ന്ന കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനം തലശേരിയില്‍ ഒരുക്കി. കേരളത്തിലെ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിന്‍റ...
