Caring Lines: Cartoon Academy with the Medicine of Laughter On June 1, 2015, members of the Kerala Cartoon Academy visited the cancer ward of Ernakulam District Hospital with a new initiative to provide comfort through drawings. The program, named **Caring Lines**, was inaugurated by Ernakulam MLA Hibi Eden. Caring Lines was organized as part of the Ernakulam MLA's **Reach Out** program. At the event, chaired by Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, Chief Coordinator Anoop Radhakrishnan presented the program's outline. Secretary Sudheer Nath, General Hospital RMO Dr. Haneesh, and Assistant RMO Dr. Rafeeq also spoke. K. Unnikrishnan, B. Sajeev, Anjan Satheesh, Ratheesh K. R., Suresh Daviji, Manoj Mathassery, Santhosh T. S., Basheer Kizhissery, Sinilal, Denilal, Jayaraj T. On the morning of June 1, 2015, at the Marriott Hotel in Edappally, Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, former Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi, Vice Chairman K. Unnikrishnan, Secretary Sudheer Nath, Joint Secretary Manoj Mathassery, Treasurer M. S. Mohanachandran, and Executive Committee members Anoop Radhakrishnan, Ratheesh K. R., and Suresh Da Vinci held discussions with Kerala Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson. The main topics discussed were increasing the grant provided to the Academy and making arrangements for a permanent headquarters building. The discussion, which lasted about forty-five minutes, was successful. Following the meeting, as requested, certain changes were made to the memorandums submitted by the Academy, and they were resubmitted.
