Meeting with Kerala Chief Secretary

On the morning of June 1, 2015, at the Marriott Hotel in Edappally, Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, former Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi, Vice Chairman K. Unnikrishnan, Secretary Sudheer Nath, Joint Secretary Manoj Mathassery, Treasurer M. S. Mohanachandran, and Executive Committee members Anoop Radhakrishnan, Ratheesh K. R., and Suresh Da Vinci held discussions with Kerala Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson. The main topics discussed were increasing the grant provided to the Academy and making arrangements for a permanent headquarters building. The discussion, which lasted about forty-five minutes, was successful.
Following the meeting, as requested, certain changes were made to the memorandums submitted by the Academy, and they were resubmitted. Accordingly, on June 10, Secretary Sudheer Nath, Suresh Da Vinci, and senior member P. V. Krishnan personally visited the offices of the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary, and the Minister for Culture in Thiruvananthapuram and submitted the letters. The discussions with the Chief Secretary and other senior departmental officials were favorable.
On another occasion, Chairman Prasannan Anikkad, Treasurer M. S. Mohanachandran, Sukumar, and P. V. Krishnan met the Chief Minister in Thiruvananthapuram and discussed the same matters. The Academy received an annual grant of ₹100,000. The Academy's records and activities are currently being reviewed as part of the process of allotting land and a building for the Academy.
2015 ജൂണ് മാസം 1 ന് രാവിലെ ഇടപ്പള്ളിയിലെ മാരിയറ്റ് ഹോട്ടലില് വെച്ച് കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി ചെയര്മാന് പ്രസന്നന് ആനിക്കാട്, മുന് ചെയര്മാന് അഡ്വ എം എം മോനായി, വൈസ് ചെയര്മാന് കെ ഉണ്ണിക്യഷ്ണന്, സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്നാഥ്, ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി മനോജ് മത്താശ്ശേരി, ട്രഷറര് എം എസ് മോഹനചന്ദ്രന്, നിര്വ്വാഹകസമിതി അംഗങ്ങളായ അനൂപ് രാധാക്യഷ്ണന്, രതീഷ് കെ ആര്, സുരേഷ് ഡാവിഞ്ചി എന്നിവര് കേരളാ ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി ജിജി തോംസണുമായി ചര്ച്ച നടത്തി. അക്കാദമിക്ക് നല്കി വരുന്ന ഗ്രാന്റ് വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കിക്കുക, സ്വന്തമായി ആസ്ഥാന കെട്ടിടം ലഭ്യമാക്കുക എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളാണ് ചര്ച്ച ചെയ്തത്. ഏതാണ്ട് മുക്കാല് മണിക്കൂര് നീണ്ടു നിന്ന ചര്ച്ച വിജയകരമായിരുന്നു. യോഗത്തില്, അക്കാദമി നല്കിയ നിവേദനങ്ങളില് ചില മാറ്റങ്ങള് വരുത്തി വീണ്ടും സമര്പ്പിക്കാന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതനുസരിച്ച് സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര് നാഥ്, സുരേഷ് ഡാവിഞ്ചി, മുതിര്ന്ന അംഗം പി വി ക്യഷ്ണന് എന്നിവര് ചേര്ന്ന് ജൂണ് മാസം 10ാം തിയതി തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി, ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി, സാംസ്കാരിക മന്ത്രി എന്നിവരുടെ ഓഫീസില് നേരിട്ട് എത്തി കത്തുകള് നല്കി. ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറിയും മറ്റ് വകുപ്പ് തല ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുമായി നടത്തിയ ചര്ച്ചകള് അനുകൂലമായിരുന്നു. ചെയര്മാന് പ്രസന്നന് ആനിക്കാട്, ട്രഷറര് എം എസ് മോഹന ചന്ദ്രന്, സുകുമാര്, പി വി ക്യഷ്ണന് എന്നിവര് മറ്റൊരു അവസരത്തില് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയെ കണ്ട് ഇതേ വിഷയത്തില് ചര്ച്ച നടത്തി. അക്കാദമിക്ക് ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപ വാര്ഷിക ഗ്രാന്റായി ലഭിച്ചു. കെട്ടിടവും സ്ഥലവും നല്കുന്നതിനായി അക്കാദമിയുടെ പ്രവര്ത്തന രേഖകള് പരിശോധിച്ച് വരികയാണ്.
