Sukumar Book released

The first death anniversary of cartoonist Sukumar, who was a senior member of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was observed on September 30 through a joint event organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the SH School of Communication, the media school of Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Ernakulam. The event was held at the SH College Hall in Thevara. Renowned humor writer Krishna Poojappura was the chief guest. The memorial book titled *Sukumar*, published by the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was released by noted cartoonist Ravishankar, who handed the first copy to Sumangala, the daughter of Sukumar Sir.
കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമിയുടെ മുതിര്ന്ന അംഗമായിരുന്ന കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുകുമാറിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ചരമവാര്ഷികം സെപ്റ്റംബര് 30-ആം തീയതി കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമിയും, എറണാകുളം തേവര സേക്രഡ് ഹാര്ട്ട് കോളേജിലെ മീഡിയ സ്കൂളായ എസ് എച്ച് സ്കൂള് ഓഫ് കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷനും സംയുക്തമായി ചടങ്ങ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. തേവര എസ് എച്ച് കോളേജ് ഹാളിലാണ് ചടങ്ങ് നടന്നത്. പ്രശസ്ത ഹാസ്യ സാഹിത്യകാരന് കൃഷ്ണ പൂജപ്പുര മുഖ്യ അതിഥിയായിരുന്നു. കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച സുകുമാര് എന്ന ഓര്മ്മ പുസ്തകം പ്രശസ്ത കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് രവിശങ്കര് ആദ്യ കോപ്പി സുകുമാര് സാറിന്റെ മകള് സുമംഗലയ്ക്ക് നല്കി പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു.
