Cartoonist P K Manthri's Cartoons Taken Over by the Academy
More than 5,000 original cartoons by cartoonist P. K. Manthri, a pride of the Malayalam cartoon world, were handed over by his daughter-in-law Alli Sinilal and family members to Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairperson Sudheer Nath on January 28, 2026, at their home in Kulanada, Pandalam. Academy Secretary A. Satheesh, distinguished member E. P. Peter, executive committee member Mohana Kumaran Nair, Father Jose Punamadam, and Ullas Thomas, son of former Academy Secretary Thomas Antony, also attended the ceremony. The Kerala Cartoon Academy has decided to release a collection of cartoonist P. K. Manthri’s cartoons in the first week of March. Ullas, son of Thomas Antony, presented the Thomas Antony Memorial Book to Manthri’s daughter-in-law Alli Sinilal Manthri.
മലയാള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് രംഗത്തിന്റെ അഭിമാനമായ കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് പി കെ മന്ത്രിയുടെ 5000 ത്തോളം ഒറിജിനല് കാര്ട്ടൂണുകള് മരുമകള് അല്ലി സിനിലാലും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും ചേര്ന്ന് 2026 ജനുവരി 28 ന് പന്തളം കുളനടയിലെ വീട്ടില് വെച്ച് കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി ചെയര്പേഴ്സണ് സുധീര് നാഥിന് കൈമാറി. അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി എ സതീഷ്, വിശിഷ്ടാംഗം ഇ പി പീറ്റര്, നിര്വാഹക സമിതി അംഗം മോഹന കുമാരന് നായര്, ഫാദര് ജോസ് പുനമഠം, അക്കാദമി മുന് സെക്രട്ടറി തോമസ് ആന്റണിയുടെ മകന് ഉല്ലാസ് തോമസ് എന്നിവരും ചടങ്ങില് പങ്കെടുത്തു. കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് പി. കെ. മന്ത്രിയുടെ കാര്ട്ടൂണുകളുടെ സമാഹാരം കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി മാര്ച്ച് ആദ്യ വാരം പുറത്തിറക്കാന് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. തോമസ് ആന്റണി ഓര്മ്മ പുസ്തകം മകന് ഉല്ലാസ് മന്ത്രിയുടെ മരുമകള് അല്ലി സിനിലാല് മന്ത്രിക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചു.
