The Doodle Den: Two-Day Children's Cartoon Camp
A two-day cartoon camp for children, featuring drawing, songs, and conversations, was held. As part of CariToon 2025, the National Cartoon Festival, the Kerala Cartoon Academy, in association with the Ernakulam Chavara Cultural Centre, organized a two-day cartoon camp for students. The camp was inaugurated on November 15, 2025, by Shreya Ratheesh. Shreya Ratheesh is the illustrator who drew pictures for Kerala's NCERT primary school textbooks. She inaugurated the camp by drawing a cartoon in front of the children attending it. She is the daughter of Ratheesh Ravi, a member of the executive committee of the Kerala Cartoon Academy. This year's theme of CariToon is "Cartoons and Children." With this event, cartoon camps for children and youth began at various centers across the state. The camp held at the Ernakulam Chavara Cultural Centre gave special importance to children.
The camp was led by Parvathi Ravichandran, a seventh-grade student who won first place in the junior category of the cartoon competition conducted by the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Nived V. Menon, who won second place in the junior category of the same competition, and ninth-grade student Elishba Nebu were among the children in the leadership team of the camp. All of them were also camp participants. At the inaugural function, Kerala Cartoon Academy Vice Chairperson Anoop Radhakrishnan presided. Karittoon Director Adv. P. U. Noushad, Father Anil Philip, Cartoon Academy Secretary A. Satheesh, and artist Kaladharan spoke at the event. Renowned cartoonists B. Sajeev, K. Unnikrishnan, Madhoos, and Sunil Pankaj, along with noted comic artists Sanid Asif Ali and Pranav Holla, conducted classes on the first day of the camp, November 15.
On the second day, November 16, 2025, Ratheesh Ravi, Saneesh Divakaran, Vinu S., and Anoop Radhakrishnan conducted classes. Adv. P. U. Noushad, Director of CariToon 2025, officially led the camp. Kerala Cartoon Academy executive committee members Mohanakumaran Nair, Anu K. Pillai, Manoj Mathassheriyil, Dinraj, Subhash K. K., Ananthu C. R., and others visited the camp. On the concluding day, certificates were distributed to all participating children. Fifty selected children took part in the camp. Gratitude is also recorded to Chavara Cultural Centre Director Father Anil Philip and painter-teacher Chandrababu for their support, alongside the Kerala Cartoon Academy, in ensuring the camp's success.
ദി ഡൂഡില് ഡെന് : ദ്വിദിന കുട്ടികളുടെ കാര്ട്ടൂണ് ക്യാമ്പ്
വരയും പാട്ടും വര്ത്തമാനവുമായി കുട്ടികളുടെ രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ കാര്ട്ടൂണ് ക്യാമ്പ് നടന്നു. ദേശീയ കാര്ട്ടൂണ് ഫെസ്റ്റിവെല്ലായ കാരിട്ടൂണ് 2025ന്റെ ഭാഗമായി, കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി, എറണാകുളം ചാവറ കള്ച്ചറല് സെന്ററുമായി ചേര്ന്ന്, വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികള്ക്കായി ഒരുക്കിയ ദ്വിദിന കാര്ട്ടൂണ് ക്യാമ്പ് 2025 നവംബര് 15ന് ശ്രേയ രതീഷ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. കേരളത്തിലെ എന്.സി.ഇ.ആര്.ടി. പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂള് പാഠപുസ്തകത്തില് ചിത്രങ്ങള് വരച്ചത് ശ്രേയ രതീഷാണ്. ക്യാമ്പിലെ കുട്ടികള്ക്ക് മുന്നില് ഒരു കാര്ട്ടൂണ് വരച്ചാണ് ശ്രേയ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തത്. കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി, നിര്വ്വാഹക സമിതി അംഗം രതീഷ് രവിയുടെ മകളാണ്. കാര്ട്ടൂണും കുട്ടികളും എന്നതാണ് ഇത്തവണ കാരിട്ടൂണിന്റെ ആശയം. സംസ്ഥാന തലത്തില് വിവിധ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില് കുട്ടികളുടെയും യുവാക്കളുടേയും കാര്ട്ടൂണ് ക്യാമ്പുകള്ക്ക് ഇതോടെ തുടക്കമായി. എറണാകുളം ചാവറ കള്ച്ചറല് സെന്ററില് നടന്ന ക്യാമ്പില് കുട്ടികള്ക്കായിരുന്നു പ്രാമുഖ്യം .
കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി നടത്തിയ കാര്ട്ടൂണ് മത്സരത്തില് (ജൂനിയര് ) ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടിയ ഏഴാം ക്ലാസ് വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനി പാര്വതി രവിചന്ദ്രനാണ് ക്യാമ്പ് നയിച്ചത്. കേരള കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി നടത്തിയ കാര്ട്ടൂണ് മത്സരത്തില് (ജൂനിയര്) രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനം നേടിയ നിവേദ് വി മേനോന്, ഒന്മ്പതാം ക്ലാസുകാരി എലിഷ്ബ നെബുവുമാണ്. ക്യാമ്പില് നേത്യനിരയില് ഉണ്ടായ കുട്ടികള്. അവരെല്ലാം ക്യാമ്പ് അംഗങ്ങളുമായിരുന്നു. ഉദ്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങില് കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി വൈസ് ചെയര്പേഴ്സണ് അനൂപ് രാധാക്യഷ്ണന് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷനായിരുന്നു. കാരിട്ടൂണ് ഡയറക്ടര് അഡ്വ. പി. യു നൗഷാദ്, ഫാദര് അനില് ഫിലിപ്പ്, കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി എ. സതീഷ്, ആര്ട്ടിസ്റ്റ് കലാധരന് എന്നിവര് സംസാരിച്ചു. പ്രശസ്ത കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകളായ ബി. സജ്ജീവ്, കെ. ഉണ്ണിക്യഷ്ണന്, മധൂസ്, സുനില് പങ്കജ്, പ്രശസ്ത കോമിക്ക് ആര്ട്ടിസ്റ്റുകളായ സാനിദ് ആസിഫ് അലി, പ്രണവ് ഹൊള്ള എന്നിവര് ആദ്യ ദിവസമായ നവംബര് 15ന് ക്യാമ്പില് ക്ലാസുകള് നയിച്ചു.
2025 നവംബര് 16ന് രണ്ടാം ദിവസം രതീഷ് രവി, സനീഷ് ദിവാകരന്, വിനു എസ്, അനൂപ് രാധാക്യഷ്ണന് എന്നിവര് ക്ലാസുകള് നയിച്ചു. കാരിട്ടൂണ് 2025 ഡയറക്ടറായ അഡ്വ പി. യു. നൗഷാദാണ് ക്യാമ്പിന് ഔദ്യോഗികമയി നേത്യത്ത്വം നല്കിയത്. കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി നിര്വ്വാഹക സമിതി അംഗം മോഹനകുമാരന് നായര്, അനു കെ. പിള്ള, മനോജ് മത്തശ്ശേരിയില്, ദിന്രാജ്, സുഭാഷ് കെ. കെ, അനന്തു സി. ആര്., തുടങ്ങിയവര് ക്യാമ്പ് സന്ദര്ശിച്ചിരുന്നു. സമാപന ദിവസം പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാ കുട്ടികള്ക്കും സര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകള് വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത അന്പത് കുട്ടികളാണ് ക്യാമ്പില് പങ്കെടുത്തത്. ക്യാമ്പിന്റെ വിജയത്തിനായി കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമിക്കൊപ്പം നിന്ന ചാവറ കള്ച്ചറല് സെന്റര് ഡയറക്ടര് ഫാദര് അനില് ഫിലിപ്പ്, ചിത്രകാരനും അദ്ധ്യാപകനുമായ ചന്ദ്രബാബു എന്നിവരോടുള്ള നന്ദിയും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
