Thomas Antony Book released

At the event titled *Thomas Antony Chithrasmrithi*, held on the evening of August 30 at the DC Books Auditorium, Cooperation Minister V. N. Vasavan released the memorial book *Thomas Antony*, prepared by the Kerala Cartoon Academy. The first copy was received by Thomas Antony’s wife, Molamma.

ആഗസ്റ്റ് 30ന് വൈകീട്ട് ഡി.സി. ബുക്സ്  ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ നടന്ന തോമസ് ആന്‍റണി ചിത്രസ്മ്യതി എന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ സഹകരണ മന്ത്രി വി. എന്‍. വാസവന്‍ കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി തയ്യാറാക്കിയ 'തോമസ് ആന്‍റണി' എന്ന ഓര്‍മ്മ പുസ്തകത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രകാശനം നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചു. ആദ്യ കോപ്പി തോമസ് ആന്‍റണിയുടെ ഭാര്യ മോളമ്മ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.

  Toon Craft Season 2 Season 2 of the two-day skill development cartoon camp, organized exclusively for members of the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was held on March 21 and 22, 2026, at the Thottumukham YMCA on the banks of the Periyar River in Aluva. Academy Executive Committee member and cartoonist Ratheesh Ravi served as the camp director. Thirty-nine members of the Kerala Cartoon Academy participated in the camp. The two-day skill development camp, led by the Kerala Cartoon Academy, was organized as a prelude to the Election Cartoon Exhibition. On the first day, March 21, K. Unnikrishnan, former chairman of the Kerala Cartoon Academy and a senior cartoonist, spoke on the topic “The Journey of a Line,” discussing the stories behind cartoons and their origins. Kerala Cartoon Academy honored its member Davinchi Suresh at the annual general meeting held in Ernakulam. The chief guest, Father Justin Kaipadampadan, Managing Director of Sathyadeepam, draped him with a ceremonial shawl. Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath presented a memento. Secretary A. Satheesh and Treasurer B. Sajeev Balakrishnan extended their greetings and witnessed the ceremony, along with prominent cartoonists from Kerala. The Kerala Cartoon Academy honored Davinchi Suresh in recognition of his unique achievements in the field of visual arts across one hundred different media. Davinchi Suresh is an artist who has brought his own responses to numerous social issues that occurred in Kerala over the past ten years before the public through his sculptural artworks.
