Anti-Drug Cartoon Competition

The Kerala Cartoon Academy and the All India Malayali Association (AIMA) jointly organized an anti-drug cartoon competition for school and college students as well as young cartoonists. Cash awards of ₹10,000, ₹7,500, and ₹5,000 were presented to the winners in the junior and senior categories who secured first, second, and third places respectively. In addition, trophies, certificates, and book kits were also awarded to the winners. Those who secured positions from fourth to tenth received certificates and book kits. Certificates were given to all participants. The selected cartoons will be exhibited in various schools and colleges across the state under the leadership of the Kerala Police's Student Police Cadet program.

Office bearers of the Kerala Cartoon Academy served as the preliminary jury. The main jury members who selected the winners were cartoonist Gopikrishnan, film director Vinod Mankara, retired Assistant Excise Commissioner Anikumar T., Chalachitra Academy Secretary Ajoy C. Chandran, journalist Dhanasumod, and AIMA National Additional Secretary Jayaraj Nair.

The prizes were presented to the winners on July 13, 2025, by Co-operation and Devaswom Minister V. N. Vasavan, actor Dileep, Sreekumaran Thampi, and N. K. Premachandran MP. The award ceremony was held during AIMA’s annual general meeting at Meenus Auditorium, Kozhikode. All India Malayali Association (AIMA) National President Gokulam Gopalan presided over the function. Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairperson Sudheer Nath, Vice Chairperson Anoop Radhakrishnan, and jury member and AIMA National Additional Secretary Jayaraj Nair, among others, attended the event.

In the senior category, Anjana S. Raj (Kottayam) won first place, Arshad P. (Malappuram) secured second place, and Athul S. Raj (Kottayam) won third place. In the junior category, Ishan Gokul (Ernakulam) and Parvathi Ravichandran (Ernakulam) shared first place. Nived V. Menon (Ernakulam) secured second place, while Abhay L. P. (Thiruvananthapuram) and Ashwathi Ram M. P. (Kannur) received third place. All the winners, including encouragement award recipients Mukund Raj (Junior), Raj Nandan Rajesh, and Arya Santhosh (Senior), received their prizes at the ceremony held at Meenus Auditorium, Kozhikode.

ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ മത്സരം

കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമിയും ആള്‍ ഇന്ത്യ മലയാളി അസോസിയേഷനും (എയ്മ) ചേര്‍ന്ന് സ്ക്കൂള്‍, കോളേജ് തലത്തിലുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും യുവ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്കുമായി ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ മത്സരം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. 10000 രൂപ, 7500 രൂപ, 5000 രൂപ ക്യാഷ് അവാര്‍ഡ് ഒന്നും രണ്ടും മൂന്നും സ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ നേടിയ ജൂനിയര്‍, സീനിയര്‍ വിഭാഗത്തിലുള്ള വിജയികള്‍ക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. ഇതു കൂടാതെ ശില്പം, സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ്, പുസ്തക കിറ്റ് എന്നിവയും വിജയികള്‍ക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. നാലു മുതല്‍ പത്ത് സ്ഥാനം നേടിയവര്‍ക്ക് സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റും പുസ്തക കിറ്റും സമ്മാനിച്ചു. പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാ മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ക്കും സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് നല്‍കി. തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന കാര്‍ട്ടൂണുകള്‍ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിവിധ സ്ക്കൂളുകളിലും കോളേജുകളിലും കേരള പോലീസിന്‍റെ സ്റ്റുഡന്‍റ് പോലീസ് കേഡറ്റിന്‍റെ നേത്യത്വത്തില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കും. 

കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ഭാരവാഹികള്‍ പ്രാഥമിക ജൂറിയായിരുന്നു. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് ഗോപീക്യഷ്ണന്‍, ചലചിത്ര സംവിധായകന്‍ വിനോദ് മങ്കര, റിട്ടയേഡ് അസിസ്റ്റന്‍റ് എക്സൈസ് കമ്മീഷണര്‍ അനികുമാര്‍ ടി, ചലചിത്ര അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി അജോയ് സി ചന്ദ്രന്‍, മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകനായ ധനസുമോദ്, എയ്മ നാഷ്ണല്‍ അഡീഷ്ണല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി ജയരാജ് നായര്‍ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു വിജയികളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത പ്രധാന ജൂറി അംഗങ്ങള്‍. 

വിജയികള്‍ക്ക് 2025 ജൂലൈ 13ന് സഹകരണ ദേവസ്വം മന്ത്രി വി. എന്‍. വാസവന്‍, നടന്‍ ദിലീപ്, ശ്രീകുമാരന്‍ തമ്പി, എന്‍. കെ. പ്രേമചന്ദ്രന്‍ എം.പി എന്നിവര്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന് സമ്മാന ദാനം നടത്തി. കോഴിക്കോട് മീനൂസ് ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ നടന്ന എയ്മയുടെ വാര്‍ഷിക പൊതുയോഗത്തിലാണ് സമ്മാനദാന ചടങ്ങ് നടന്നത്. ആള്‍ ഇന്ത്യ മലയാളി അസോസിയേഷന്‍ (എയ്മ) ദേശിയ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ഗോകുലം ഗോപാലന്‍ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍പേഴ്സണ്‍ സുധീര്‍ നാഥ്, വൈസ് ചെയര്‍പേഴ്സണ്‍ അനൂപ് രാധാകൃഷ്ണന്‍, ജൂറി അംഗമായ എയ്മ നാഷ്ണല്‍ അഡീഷ്ണല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി ജയരാജ് നായര്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

സീനിയര്‍ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ അന്‍ജന എസ് രാജ് (കോട്ടയം) ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും, അര്‍ഷാദ് പി (മലപ്പുറം) രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനവും, അതുല്‍ എസ് രാജ് (കോട്ടയം) മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും നേടി. ജൂനിയര്‍ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ ഇഷാന്‍ ഗോകുലും ( എറണാകുളം), പാര്‍വ്വതി രവിചന്ദ്രനും ( എറണാകുളം) ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടി. നിവേദ് വി മേനോന്‍ (എറണാകുളം) രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനവും, അഭയ് എല്‍. പി. (തിരുവനന്തപുരം), അശ്വതി റാം എം. പി. (കണ്ണൂര്‍) എന്നിവര്‍ക്ക് മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും ലഭിച്ചു.  പ്രോത്സാഹന സമ്മാനം നേടിയ മുകുന്ദ് രാജ് ( ജൂനിയര്‍ ), രാജ് നന്ദന്‍ രാജേഷ് , ആര്യാ സന്തോഷ് ( സീനിയര്‍ ) എന്നിവരടക്കം ഏല്ലാ വിജയികളും കോഴിക്കോട് മീനൂസ് ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ സമ്മാനങ്ങള്‍ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
