Kerala Cartoon Academy General Meeting
The annual meeting of the Kerala Cartoon Academy was held on April 23, 2016, at the YMCA in Ernakulam. The annual general meeting was notable for the large participation of the academy's members. At the meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Cartoon Academy, the Secretary presented the 2015–2016 annual report. The Treasurer also presented the financial report for the same period. Cartoon Director B. Sajeev and Program Director K. Unnikrishnan presented detailed information about the cartoon event that was to be organized on a larger scale.
In the evening, the K. S. Pillai Memorial Freelance Cartoonist Award ceremony was held. Senior cartoonist Sukumar, who was also a disciple of K. S. Pillai, the founder of the award, delivered the memorial lecture. Cartoonist Balu received the award.
കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി പൊതുയോഗം
2016 ഏപ്രില് മാസം 23ന് എറണാകുളം വൈഎംസിഎയില് കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമിയുടെ വാര്ഷിക യോഗം ചേര്ന്നു. അക്കാദമിയുടെ അംഗങ്ങളുടെ വലിയ പങ്കാളിത്തം കൊണ്ട് ശ്രദ്ധേയമായിരുന്നു വാര്ഷിക പൊതുയോഗം. കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി ചെയര്മാന്റെ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതയില് ചേര്ന്ന യോഗത്തില് സെക്രട്ടറി 2015 2016 വാര്ഷിക റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇതേ കാലയളവിലെ ധനകാര്യ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ട്രഷററും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. വിപുലമായി നടത്തുവാന് പോകുന്ന കാരിട്ടൂണിന്റെ വിശദ്ധ വിവരങ്ങള് കാരിട്ടൂണ് ഡയറക്ടര് ബി സജ്ജീവും, പ്രോഗ്രാം ഡയറക്ടര് കെ ഉണ്ണിക്യഷ്ണനും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. വൈകുന്നേരം കെ എസ് പിള്ള സ്മാരക ഫ്രീലാന്സ് കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് പുരസ്ക്കാര ചടങ്ങും നടന്നു. പുരസ്ക്കാരം ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തിയ കെ എസ് പിള്ളയുടെ ശിഷ്യന് കൂടിയായ മുതിര്ന്ന കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുകുമാര് അനുസ്മരണ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് ബാലു പുരസ്ക്കാരം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.
