A. R. Rahman caricature blog
As part of honoring Oscar award winners Rasul Pookutty and A. R. Rahman, the Academy decided to compile their caricatures into a book and present it to them. The Academy also succeeded in compiling caricatures of the world-renowned music composer A. R. Rahman and showcasing them to the world through a blog. At a simple ceremony held at the Ernakulam Press Club on the morning of March 1, 2010, the A. R. Rahman caricature blog was inaugurated by the renowned singer Biju Narayanan. Academy Secretary Sudhir Nath also attended the event. The blog features more than 70 caricatures.
ഓസ്കാര് അവാര്ഡ് ജേതാക്കളായ റസൂല് പൂക്കുട്ടിയേയും എ. ആര്. റഹ്മാനേയും ആദരിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി അവരുടെ കാരിക്കേച്ചറുകള് സമാഹരിച്ച് പുസ്തകരൂപത്തിലാക്കി സമ്മാനിക്കുവാന് അക്കാദമി തീരുമാനിച്ചിരുന്നു. ലോക പ്രശസ്ത സംഗീത സംവിധായകന് എ ആര് റഹ്മാന്റെ കാരിക്കേച്ചറുകള് സമാഹരിച്ച് അത് ബ്ലോഗിലൂടെ ലോകത്തിന് മുന്നില് പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിക്കുവാനും അക്കാദമിക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞു. 2010 മാര്ച്ച് 1 ന് രാവിലെ എറണാകുളം പ്രസ്സ് ക്ലബില് നടന്ന ലളിതമായ ചടങ്ങില് എ ആര് റഹ്മാന്റെ കാരിക്കേച്ചര് ബ്ലോഗ് പ്രശസ്ത ഗായകന് ബിജു നാരായണന് ഉത്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്നാഥ്, ചടങ്ങില് പങ്കെടുത്തു. 70 തില്പരം കാരിക്കേച്ചറുകളാണ് ബ്ലോഗിലുള്ളത്.
