Resul - Rehman Cartoon Caricature Exhibition @ Kochi
As the first part of honoring Oscar award winners Rasool Pookutty and A. R. Rahman, a Rasool–Rahman caricature exhibition was organized on August 30 at the Ernakulam Nanappa Art Gallery with their cooperation.
The cartoons and caricatures drawn by Anjan Satheesh, who has overcome his physical disability, are of outstanding quality. By having Anjan Satheesh inaugurate the exhibition in the presence of Oscar winner Rasool Pookutty, Union Minister Prof. K. V. Thomas, actor Bala, artist Kaladharan, and others, the Academy honored the young cartoonist.
The function was presided over by Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Prasannan Anikkad. P. V. Krishnan, Secretary Sudhir Nath, Journalists' Union State Committee member Pradeep Kumar, Manorama Weekly Editor K. A. Francis, and others also attended the event.
ഓസ്കാര് അവാര്ഡ് ജേതാക്കളായ റസൂല് പൂക്കുട്ടിയേയും എ. ആര്. റഹ്മാനേയും ആദരിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ആദ്യ ഭാഗമായി ആഗസ്റ്റ് 30 ന് എറണാകുളം നാണപ്പ ആര്ട്ട് ഗ്യാലറിയില് അവരുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ റസൂല് റഹ്മാന് കാരിക്കേച്ചര് പ്രദര്ശനം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. തന്റെ അംഗവൈകല്യത്തെ തോല്പ്പിച്ച് അന്ജന് സതീശ് വരയ്ക്കുന്ന കാര്ട്ടൂണുകളും കാരിക്കേച്ചറുകളും മികച്ച നിലവാരമുള്ളതാണ്. ഓസ്കാര് അവാര്ഡ് ജേതാക്കളായ റസൂല് പൂക്കുട്ടിയേയും, കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രി പ്രൊഫ. കെ. വി. തോമസ്, നടന് ബാല, ആര്ട്ടിസ്റ്റ് കലാധരന് തുടങ്ങിയവരുടെ സാനിധ്യത്തില് അന്ജന് സതീശ് പ്രദര്ശനം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യിക്കുക വഴി യുവ കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റിനെ അക്കാദമി ആദരിക്കുകയായാരുന്നു. കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി ചെയര്മാന് പ്രസന്നന് ആനിക്കാട് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷനായ ചടങ്ങില് പി. വി കൃഷ്ണന്, സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്നാഥ് പത്ര പ്രവര്ത്തക യൂണിയന് സംസ്ഥാന കമ്മിററി അംഗം പ്രദീപ് കുമാര്, മനോരമ വീക്കിലി എഡിററര് കെ എ ഫ്രാന്സിസ് തുടങ്ങിയവരും പങ്കെടുത്തു.
