Cartoon and Caricature Competition
The Kerala Cartoon Academy organized a state-level Cartoon and Caricature Competition for school and college students. The theme for the cartoon category was "Reality Show," and for the caricature category, it was cricketer Sreesanth. A jury comprising Academy Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi, Treasurer Sajeev, and Academy member P. U. Noushad selected the winners.
**Cartoon (Senior):** Suraj Kakkarayil (Kasaragod), Sreejin S. (Cherthala)
**Cartoon (Junior):** Anoop Anil (Mavelikkara), Shaheena H. (Aluva)
**Caricature (Senior):** Arjun K. R. (Palakkad), Rakesh Ramachandran (Thrissur)
**Caricature (Junior):** Mithun Raj (Kollam), Puneeth K. R. (Kasaragod)
These were the winners.
On December 27, at the EMS Library Hall in Thrikkakara, during a meeting chaired by Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi, cricketer Sreesanth presented the prizes to the winners. M. E. Hasainer, C. Banu (District Bank Manager), cartoonist Seeri, Prasannan Anikkad, B. Sajeev, and Kerala Cartoon Academy Secretary Sudhirnath also spoke at the event.
The prize winners also received trophies sponsored by Paradise Group, Kochi; family passes to the water theme park sponsored by Kanyakumari Baywatch; books contributed by cartoonist Seeri (*My Smiling Lines*), G. Hari (*Cartoon: Story and Drawing*), and Tune Arts India (*Nayanar in Lines*); and free one-year subscriptions to the magazines *Sunday India*, *Theerthasarathi*, and *Bobanum Moliyum*.
