Shankarankutty Memorial and Aniyug, Shankarankutty Award Presentation.
On November 29, 2007, a memorial event for cartoonist Shankarankutty was organized at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club in association with the Shankarankutty Memorial Trust. The function, chaired by Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Adv. M. M. Monayi, was inaugurated by G. Sudhakaran, Minister for the Cooperation and Devaswom Department. Prof. C. R. Omanakkutty delivered the main memorial address. Prominent film actor Madhu, photographer Sivan, cartoonist Sukumar, Kerala Cartoon Academy Secretary Sudheer Nath, Prasannan Aanikkad, Atlanto CEO Ratheesh Babu, and Harishankar spoke at the event.
The award for the best book cover, instituted by the Shankarankutty Memorial Trust and the Academy, was presented during the ceremony. A jury committee chaired by the renowned poet Sachidanandan, with cartoonist Unni, journalist D. Vijayamohan, and designer Anoop Kamath as members, recommended Artist Namboothiri, who designed the cover for the book *Kanjunni Master, An Ormapusthakam (A Book of Memories)*, and Satheesh K. Satheeshan for the award. Satheesh K. Satheesh received the award from the minister.
The minister also presented the Aniyug '07 Award, held on May 4–5, during the function. A special jury award was also presented to *Ente Malayalam*, a CD by *Malayala Manorama*. An exhibition of cartoonist Shankarankutty's caricatures and book covers was also displayed in the Press Club auditorium.

2007 നവംബര് 29ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരം പ്രസ്സ് ക്ലബ്ബില് ശങ്കരന്കുട്ടി സ്മാരക ട്രസ്റ്റുമായി ചേര്ന്ന് കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് ശങ്കരന്കുട്ടി അനുസ്മരണം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി ചെയര്മാന് അഡ്വ: എം. എം. മോനായിയുടെ അദ്ധ്യകഷതയില് കൂടിയ യോഗത്തില് സഹകരണ ദേവസ്വം വകുപ്പു മന്ത്രി ജി. സുധാകരന് ചടങ്ങ് ഉത്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. പ്രൊഫ. സി. ആര് ഓമനക്കുട്ടന് മുഖ്യ അനുസ്മരണ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. പ്രമുഖ ചലചിത്രനടന് മധു, ഫോട്ടാഗ്രാഫര് ശിവന്, കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുകുമാര്, കേരള കാര്ട്ടൂണ് അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി സുധീര്നാഥ്, പ്രസന്നന് ആനിക്കാട,് അറ്റലാന്റോ സി.ഇ.ഒ രതീഷ് ബാബു, ഹരിശങ്കര് എന്നിവര് ചടങ്ങില് സംസാരിച്ചു. ശങ്കരന്കുട്ടി സ്മാരക ട്രസ്റ്റിയും അക്കാദമിയും ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തിയ പുസ്തക കവറിനുള്ള അവാര്ഡ് ചടങ്ങില് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. പ്രമുഖ കവി സച്ചിദാനന്ദന്റെ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതയില് കാര്ട്ടുണിസ്റ്റ് ഉണ്ണി, പത്രപ്രവര്ത്തകനായ ഡി. വിജയമോഹന്, ഡിസൈനര് അനൂപ് കമ്മത്ത് എന്നിവര് ജൂറികളായ കമ്മിറ്റി കഞ്ഞുണ്ണിമാസ്റ്റര്, ഒരോര്മ്മപുസ്തകം എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന് കവര് രൂപകല്പന ചെയ്ത ആര്ട്ടിസ്റ്റ് നമ്പൂതിരിയും, സതീശ് കെ. സതീശനുമാണ് അവാര്ഡ് നല്കാന് ശുപാര്ശ ചെയ്തത്. മന്ത്രിയില് നിന്ന് സതീശ് കെ. സതീശ് അവാര്ഡ് ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി. മെയ് 4 - 5 തീയതികളില് നടത്തിയ ആനിയുഗ് 07 അവാര്ഡും മന്ത്രി ജി സുധാകരന് ചടങ്ങില് വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. മലയാള മനോരമയുടെ എന്റെ മലയാളം എന്ന സി.ഡി ക്ക് പ്രത്യേക ജൂറി അവാര്ഡും ചടങ്ങില് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. കാര്ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് ശങ്കരന്കുട്ടിയുടെ കാരിക്കേച്ചറുകളുടേയും, പുസ്തക കവറുകളുടേയും പ്രദര്ശനവും പ്രസ്സ് പ്ലബ്ബ് ആഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില് പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
