A live cartoon drawing event on religious harmony

On March 8, 1993, at the Secretariat Gate in Thiruvananthapuram, cartoonist Abu Abraham inaugurates a live cartoon drawing event on religious harmony organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Cartoonist Sukumaran can also be seen in the picture.

  Remembering cartoonist Rajendrakumar. A memorial event for cartoonist Rajendrakumar was organized at the Kozhikode Press Club Hall on January 23, 2025. The memorial ceremony was jointly organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the Kozhikode Press Club. At the function, presided over by Kozhikode Press Club President E. P. Muhammad, Sukumaran Uroomb delivered the memorial speech. Writer V. R. Sudheesh shared his memories of Rajendrakumar and spoke at the event. Cartoonist Gopikrishnan released the Rajendrakumar memorial book prepared by the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Rajendrakumar’s wife, Mini, received the first copy. Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath and Secretary A. Satheesh also participated in the event. As part of the program, a workshop on “Cartoon and Caricature” was also organized at the Kozhikode Press Club. Coffee and Cartoons in Thiruvananthapuram On June 3, the concluding day of Electoons 2024 election cartoons, a program titled “Coffee and Cartoons” was organized. The event, where interesting experiences from the election campaign period were shared, received strong public support. Participants in the closing ceremony included Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Pannyan Raveendran, Binoy Viswam, E. M. Radha, Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sudheer Nath, Secretary A. Satheesh, Alex Vellakkalil, and Lalu Joseph. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് കാപ്പിയും കാര്‍ട്ടൂണും  ഇലക്ടൂണ്‍സ് 2024 തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കാര്‍ട്ടൂണുകളുടെ സമാപന ദിവസമായ ജൂണ്‍ 3ന് കാപ്പിയും കാര്‍ട്ടൂണും എന്ന പരിപാടി ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു. തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചരണ സമയത്തെ രസകരമായ അനുഭവങ്ങള്‍ പങ്കിടുന്ന ചടങ്ങിന് വലിയ ജനപിന്തുണ ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. സമാപനചടങ്ങില്‍ ഡോ: ശശി തരൂര്‍, പന്ന്യന്‍ രവീന്ദ്രന്‍, ബിനോയ് വിശ്വം, ഇ എം രാധ, കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ സുധീര്‍ നാഥ്, സെക്രട്ടറി എ സതീഷ്, അലക്സ് വെള്ളക്കാലില്‍, ലാലു ജോസഫ് എന്നിവര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു.
