Kerala Cartoon Academy Events

 When members of the Kerala Cartoon Academy gathered in Kochi for the 23th annual general meeting on February 5, 2006. 2006 ഫെബ്രുവരി 5ന് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി അംഗങ്ങള്‍ കൊച്ചിയില്‍ 23 ാം വാര്‍ഷിക പൊതുയോഗത്തിന് ഒത്തുകൂടിയപ്പോള്‍.

When the birthday celebration of cartoonist Shankar was held at Kanakakunnu Palace in Thiruvananthapuram on July 31, 2002, under the leadership of the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Cartoonist Abu Abraham, Speaker G. At a ceremony held on February 14, 1997, at Kerala House in Delhi, the Kerala Cartoon Academy conferred its honorary membership on cartoonists O. V. Vijayan, T Samuval and P. K. S. Kutty. On the stage were cartoonists P. K. S. Kutty, Ranga, Sukumar, Minister for Cultural Affairs T. K. Ramakrishnan, Justice Sukumaran, cartoonist Rajinder Puri, K. Karunakaran and Sudheer Nath. 1997 ഫെബ്രുവരി 14ന് ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ കേരള ഹൗസില്‍ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമിയുടെ വിശിഷ്ടാംഗത്വം കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് ഒ. വി. വിജയനും,ടി സാമുവലിനും  പി. കെ. എസ് കുട്ടിക്കും നല്‍കി. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകളായ പി. കെ. എസ് കുട്ടി, രങ്ക, സുകുമാര്‍, സാംസ്കാരിക വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ടി. കെ. രാമക്യഷ്ണന്‍, ജസ്റ്റിസ് സുകുമാരന്‍, കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് രജീന്ദര്‍ പുരി, കെ. കരുണാകരന്‍, സുധീർനാഥ്  എന്നിവര്‍ വേദിയില്‍.

The 16th annual general meeting of the Kerala Cartoon Academy was held in Ernakulam on January 12, 1997. 1997 ജനുവരി 12ന് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാ്വമിയുടെ 16 ാം വാര്‍ഷിക പൊതുയോഗം എറണാകുളത്ത് നടന്നു.

As a mark of respect to Shivaraman, the founding secretary of the Kerala Cartoon Academy and the patriarch of Malayalam cartoonists, the Kerala Cartoon Academy published a collection of his cartoons titled *Let's Laugh with Shivaraman*. On September 15, 1996, at a meeting held in Ernakulam under the chairmanship of Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman M. K. Sreeni, the veteran cartoonist Keralavarma formally released the book. Shivaraman's son, Soman, received the first copy. കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമിയുടെ സ്ഥാപക സെക്രട്ടറിയും മലയാളി കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്ററുകളുടെ കാരണവരുമായ ശിവറാമിനോടുള്ള ആദരസൂചകമായി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണുകളുടെ സമാഹാരം-ചിരിക്കാം ശിവറാമിനൊപ്പം-  കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. 1996 സെപ്തംബര്‍ 15ന് എറണാകുളത്ത് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ എം. കെ. സീരിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നയോഗത്തില്‍വച്ച് പഴയ തലമുറയിലെ പ്രശസ്തനായ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്ററ് കേരളവര്‍മ്മ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രകാശനകര്‍മ്മം നിര്‍വ്വഹിക്കുന്നു. ശിവറാമിന്‍റെ മകന്‍ സോമന്‍ ആദ്യ കോപ്പി ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങുന്ന...

At the annual general meeting of the Kerala Cartoon Academy held in Ernakulam on January 28, 1996, writer Madhavikutty is speaking. Also seen in the picture is the Academy Chairman, cartoonist Seeri. Writer Madhavikutty was the subject of that year's caricature competition. 1996 ജനുവരി 28ന് എറണാകുളത്ത് നടന്ന കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി വാര്‍ഷിക പൊതുയോഗത്തില്‍ സാഹിത്യകാരി മാധവികുട്ടി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സീരിയും ചിത്രത്തില്‍. സാഹിത്യകാരി മാധവികുട്ടിയായിരുന്നു ആ വര്‍ഷത്തെ കാരിക്കേച്ചര്‍ മത്സര വിഷയം. 

On September 11 and 12, 1995, cartoonist Abu Abraham inaugurates the cartoon exhibition organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy in front of the Secretariat under the auspices of the State Bank of Travancore Welfare Social Circle, Thiruvananthapuram. 1995 സെപ്തംബര്‍ 11, 12 തിയതികളില്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരം സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ബാങ്ക് ഓഫ് ട്രാവന്‍കൂര്‍ ക്ഷേമ സോഷ്യല്‍ സര്‍ക്കിളിന്‍റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില്‍ സെക്രട്ടറിയേറ്റിനു മുന്നില്‍ കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ഒരുക്കിയ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനം കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് അബു എബ്രഹാം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

The cartoonists who participated in the AIDS awareness Cartoon Workshop held at the Veli Youth Hostel in Thiruvananthapuram on February 11 and 12, 1995, together with senior cartoonists. As part of the cartoon workshop, an AIDS awareness cartoon exhibition was also organized at the Thiruvananthapuram Youth Hostel on February 12, 1995. 1995 ഫെബ്രുവരി 11, 12 തീയതികളില്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് വേളി യൂത്ത് ഹോസ്റ്റലില്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച എയ്ഡ്സ് കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ ശില്പശാലയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ മുതിര്‍ന്ന കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റുകളോടൊപ്പം. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ ശില്പശാലയുടെ ഭാഗമായി 1995 ഫെബ്രുവരി 12 ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരം യൂത്ത് ഹോസ്റ്റലില്‍ എയ്ഡസ് ബോധവല്‍ക്കരണ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനവും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. 

On January 29, 1995, the 14th Annual General Meeting of the Kerala Cartoon Academy was inaugurated in Ernakulam by cartoonist Yesudasan, who was the Chairman of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi. At the function, a reception was given to Academy member Karuvatta Chandran, who had received the Best Teacher Award. 1995 ജനുവരി 29 ാം തീയതി കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമിയുടെ 14 -ാം  വാര്‍ഷിക പൊതുയോഗം കേരള ലളിതകലാ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാനായ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് യേശുദാസന്‍ എറണാകുളത്ത് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ചടങ്ങില്‍ മികച്ച അധ്യാപകന്‍ ഉള്ള അവാര്‍ഡ് അര്‍ഹനായ അക്കാദമി അംഗം കരുവാറ്റ ചന്ദ്രനെ സ്വീകരണം നല്‍കി.

On September 8, 1994, the Kerala Cartoon Academy organized a cartoon workshop in collaboration with the Kerala State Resource Centre and the Kerala Literacy Mission. Cartoonist Abu Abraham inaugurated the event. P. N. Panicker attended the ceremony as the chief guest. 1994 സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ എട്ടാം തീയതി കേരള സ്റ്റേറ്റ് റിസോഴ്സ് സെന്‍ററും, കേരള സാക്ഷരതാ സമിതിയുമായി സഹകരിച്ച് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ വര്‍ക്ക്ഷോപ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് അബു എബ്രഹാം ആയിരുന്നു ഉദ്ഘാടകന്‍. പി എന്‍ പണിക്കര്‍ മുഖ്യ അതിഥിയായി ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു.

On July 21 and 22, 1994, cartoonist Sukumar inaugurates a cartoon exhibition organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy in collaboration with Bheema, the cultural organization of Kollam bank employees. 1994 ജൂലൈ മാസം 21, 22 തീയതികളില്‍ കൊല്ലം ബാങ്ക് ജീവനക്കാരുടെ കലാ സംഘടനയായ ഭീമവുമായി സഹകരിച്ച് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി നടത്തിയ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനം കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുകുമാര്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

On July 13 and 14, 1994, cartoonist Sukumar inaugurates a cartoon exhibition organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy in collaboration with Shruthi, the cultural organization of Thrissur bank employees. 1994 ജൂലൈ മാസം 13, 14 തീയതികളില്‍ തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ ബാങ്ക് ജീവനക്കാരുടെ കലാസംഘടനയായ ശ്രുതിയുമായി സഹകരിച്ച് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി നടത്തിയ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനം കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുകുമാര്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

 The 14th anniversary of the Kerala Cartoon Academy was also celebrated at the Ernakulam YMCA on January 23, 1994. At the annual meeting, Kerala Cartoon Academy Chairman Sukumar presided. Secretary M. S. Mohanachandran presented the report, and Treasurer Shankaranarayanan presented the accounts and the budget for the coming year.  At the public meeting held in the evening, the renowned writer Madhavikutty was the chief guest. Madhavikutty distributed prizes to the winners of the cartoon and caricature competition organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy. Those receiving prizes from Madhavikutty were Siddique Paravoor, Shanavas Alappuzha, Baiju, and Punnooskutty. കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി 14-ാം വാര്‍ഷികം എറണാകുളം വൈ എം സി എ യില്‍ 1994 ജനുവരി 23-നും ആഘോഷിച്ചു. വാര്‍ഷിക യോഗത്തില്‍ കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ സുകുമാര്‍ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷനായിരുന്നു. സെക്രട്ടറി എം. എസ്. മോഹനചന്ദ്രന്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടും ട്രഷറര്‍ ശങ്കരനാരായണന്‍ കണക്കും, വരും വര്‍ഷത്തെ ബഡ്ജററും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.വൈകീട്ട് നടന...

On November 25, 1993, after inaugurating the cartoon exhibition organized in Kozhikode by the Kerala Cartoon Academy in collaboration with Navatharang, the cultural organization of bank employees, artist Namboothiri is seen with cartoonists Sudheer Nath, Nathan, M. S. Mohanachandran, and Baiju Raj. 1993 നവംബര്‍ 25 ന് കോഴിക്കോട് കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി ബാങ്ക് ജീവനക്കാരുടെ സാംസ്കാരിക സംഘടന നവതരംഗുമായി സഹകരിച്ച് നടത്തിയ കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത ശേഷം ആര്‍ട്ടിസ്റ്റ് നമ്പൂതിരി കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് സുധീര്‍ നാഥ്, നാഥന്‍, എം.എസ്. മോഹനചന്ദ്രന്‍, ബൈജുരാജ് എന്നിവരോടൊപ്പം.

At a function held at the SMS Auditorium of Cochin University, Dr. Sukumar Azhikode releases the first copy of the book *Who Is Who: Kerala Cartoonists*, on 1993 September 28 published by the Kerala Cartoon Academy, by presenting it to cartoonist Shivaraman. Senior cartoonist M. S. Mohanachandran is also seen in the picture. കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണ്‍ അക്കാദമി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ഹൂ ഈസ് ഹൂ കേരള കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് എന്ന പുസ്തകം കൊച്ചി സര്‍വ്വകലാശാല എസ്.എം.എസ് ആഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ 1993 സെപ്റ്റംബര് 28 ന് ഡോ സുകുമാര്‍ അഴിക്കോട് ആദ്യ കോപ്പി കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് ശിവറാമിന് നല്‍ക പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മുതിര്‍ന്ന കാര്‍ട്ടൂണിസ്റ്റ് എം. എസ്. മോഹനചന്ദ്രനും ചിത്രത്തില്‍.

On March 8, 1993, at the Secretariat Gate in Thiruvananthapuram, cartoonist Abu Abraham inaugurates a live cartoon drawing event on religious harmony organized by the Kerala Cartoon Academy.
